 Vacancy: GL Supervisor
Location: District 5


Part of the duties/responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and accurate closing and consolidation of all ledgers and accounts on a quarterly and annual basis
- Supervise and control the execution of all accounting reconciliation activities at corporate, regional, property, and project level.
- Ensure the development of financial statements for Marakez and related legal entities/subsidiaries / affiliates or JVs (if required/ applicable)
- Approve and oversee the preparation of all financial reports (quarterly, semi-annual, and annual)
- Supervise projects’ accounting statements, reporting, and transactions
- Review forecast of costs and timelines based on changes in the cost structures
- Manage accounting systems in coordination with IT
- Provide all support to external auditors and promptly clarify all audit queries raised
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth external Audit verification by statutory requirements and applicable international accounting standards
- Ensure the provision of ad hoc and special analyses such as financial analysis and cash flow forecasting for departments and subsidiaries
- Ensure the provision of any information requested by external authorities for instance Labor Ministry, Visa Authorities, etc. to meet statutory requirements for Pension Authority and Social Insurance

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA is preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in financial accounting and management accounting experience.
- Experience in accounting within real estate or related industries is preferred.
- Experience in complex Group-wide accounting and reporting, preferably in a public company.
